QA Engineering Lead - Professional Services
thePlatform, a subsidiary of Comcast, is hiring a QA Lead for its Professional Services Engineering team.
thePlatform helps content providers, broadband media sites, and mobile businesses solve their unique media publishing requirements. Our Professional Services Team builds applications and services that integrate with our MPS products to provide custom publishing and distribution solutions for such high profile customers as Comcast, CBS, BBC, PBS, Verizon, and others.
Our QA Engineers are tightly integrated with development teams working in short, iterative development cycles. They ensure that quality objectives are well understood and that projects meet these objectives. With cutting edge approaches to software testing, empathy for the customer and eye for detail, thePlatform QA department has built a legacy of helping to deliver stable, high quality services that satisfy customer demand.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate QA efforts across Professional Services and Product Development engineering teams.
- Work closely with Product Owners to define product expectations and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate integration efforts and QA practices with external teams.
- Provide leadership and mentoring for QA Engineers on multiple projects.
- Partner with developers and other QA engineers to create test plans and strategies.
- Help identify ways to enhance testing strategy with new tools, processes or techniques.
- Provide stakeholders with concrete measurements of product quality.
- Take ownership for the quality of the product that is shipped.
Requirements:
- 5 years experience as QA Engineer on variety of large scale consumer-facing internet and enterprise software projects.
- Experience as Team Lead.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Self-motivation, a desire to learn how things work, and the dedication to master challenges.
- Strong problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of internet technologies.
- Project Management experience a plus.
- Experience with digital media a plus.
