Senior Software Test Engineer

Our Software Test Engineers are tightly integrated with development teams working in short, iterative development cycles. They ensure that quality objectives are well understood and that projects meet these objectives. We are looking for testers who want to go beyond simply filing bugs: testers who will use their creativity and technical know-how to take quality products to the next level, testers who will work hand-in-hand with developers to build a deep understanding of the back-end technologies fueling the internet video revolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with project stakeholders to define product expectations and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with developers and other QA engineers to create test plans from functional specifications.
  • Define and execute end-to-end test cases through dynamic user interfaces as well as interacting with back-end services.
  • Test service and client installers for functionality and compatibility.
  • Help identify ways to enhance testing strategy with new tools, processes or techniques.
  • Provide stakeholders with concrete measurements of product quality.
  • Represent QA in design and functional requirement reviews.
  • Take ownership for the quality of the product that is shipped.

Requirements:

  • At least five years software testing experience.
  • Self-motivation, a desire to learn how things work, and the dedication to master challenges.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Understanding of Internet technologies including DHTML, XML, HTTP, CSS or Flash.
  • Experience with cellular and wireless data technologies including BREW.
  • Experience with streaming media and digital rights management.
  • Experience with Unix and/or SQL.
  • Experience with scripting and automation.
  • An understanding of n-tier systems.
