White-box QA Engineer / SDET

Everyone on our QA team writes test code in Java and C# to automate functional tests, measure performance, and load test media publishing services. We practice Agile development, plan rational schedules, and our developers and QA engineers have a strong, collaborative relationship as partners in the delivery of quality products.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with the QA and development teams to write automated tests for thePlatform's media publishing services.
- Partner with developers to create test plans from functional specifications.
- Design, implement, and run automated test code against the media publishing services API using our Java and .NET test harnesses.
- Perform load and stress testing.
- Contribute tools to the QA team's test suites and testing infrastructure.
- Work closely with developers to extend developer unit tests and share test code.
- Represent QA in design, functional requirements, and code reviews.
- Take ownership for the quality of the product that is shipped.
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years experience in testing or development of database-driven web applications or other enterprise software.
- Solid Java/JUnit or .NET/NUnit experience, and demonstrable skills in building JUnit/NUnit tests.
- Strong QA skills: planning, bug isolation, bug report writing, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to automate complex test cases.
- Experience designing and running web stress and load tests.
- Strong communication skills.
- A keen analytical and structured approach to problem solving and testing.
- Experience with any of the following a plus: e-commerce applications, streaming media, SQL Server or Oracle, Web Services, and J2EE/.NET.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
