Management Console

mpsManage

The broadband video control center

mps Console provides a smart interface for managing your media. Ingest content, enter metadata, apply business policies and publish your media.

  • Ingest your video via the console or our add-content API.
  • Media Objects wrap the many required file formats for each title into one easy-to-manage unit.
  • Metadata can be added, edited, and deleted for easier management and searching. Quickly categorize and tag content. Use any metadata schema or standard with custom fields.
  • Transcoding converts your video into alternative formats.
  • Server Objects can be configured for any media delivery or storage server. Predefined server objects for a variety of popular CDNs make publishing simple.

Manage your media business

Policies provide the control you need for your media. Content restrictions set availability dates and geographic limits. Commerce rules define your use of DRM, price points, and subscriptions. Advertising policies establish your ad pattern and campaign management system.

Long-form content:

  • Audience members can be added to our end-user store or your own customer database.
  • Sub-accounts allow partners to manage, control, and share their content with you.
  • Administrators have a variety of controls, including setting user permissions, defining access, and creating notifications.
  • Online user guides provide a comprehensive review of how to get the most from the Management Console.
  • Usage reporting tracks the popularity and audience experience. Reports include per media object (i.e. per video) statistics such as number of requests, length of objects, number of objects tracked, length object played, number of objects played, load times, re-buffering times, and bandwidth used. List reports are also available by media categories, playlists, media releases, and playlist releases. Finally, you can group data and export it to Excel.

Management tools that adapt to your needs

  • Enterprise-class account management capabilities give you the ability to manage different business units or workflow teams with a flexible parent/subaccount user structure.
  • Run reports to track activity and performance at a subaccount level to manage teams and underlying operations more effectively.
  • Create roles, set permissions, customize branding (from uploading logos to setting up your own CSS), and customize security settings at the subaccount level to build a more secure and efficient workflow.
  • Create custom commands which combine tasks into grouped functions that can be called in order to streamline and optimize your workflow.
  • Use custom pages in the console to manage anything from managing other systems' consoles with i-frames to building custom reporting or instructional pages. Create a more complete and centralized workflow management center from within the console.
