Project Description

Vongo wanted to build a movie download subscription and pay-per-view service that would give customers a wide variety of titles and multiple purchase options.

Requirements

Apply digital rights management per pricing models to give end users appropriate permissions.
Integrate media management tool with existing custom-made content management system.
Control the number of devices to which content can be downloaded.

thePlatform's Solution

Create DRM rules that are based on pricing models: grant end users certain permissions based on customer type, create licenses for each type of customer group, and give the groups access to certain movies.
Use mpsManage for content upload and encryption.
Protect content and enforce business policies with licenses, user sign-in, content restrictions, and Windows Media DRM Digital Rights Management for PCs and portable devices.

Vongo

Results

Subscribers have unlimited access to more than 1,000 movies and 2,500 total video selections. Hundreds of movies are available for 24-hour pay-per-view rental to both subscribers and non-subscribers. Vongo can track how content is consumed, and can securely and flexibly manage content no matter which Vongo-supported device a consumer may use.
