Easily ingest your content library
With our array of flexible ingest solutions you can automate a critical part of your media management workflow and save time and effort with a system that adapts to your needs.
If you have just a few new pieces of content per day or prefer to manually map your metadata, use the mpx Uploader, which provides a convenient way to ingest one or many files into a single media object and lets you track the progress while you continue to work. The system uses the Adobe Air® client to set up an FTP connection to make for quick uploads right from your machine. Track progress in the My Uploads section of the console.
If you have a large or quickly evolving content library and want automated ingest, we can help make the process much easier with Watch Folders and the Feed Reader:
Introducing Watch Folders and the Feed Reader
- Watch Folders are FTP locations on your system that the Ingest Service constantly monitors for changes. Drop your media in, and it’s automatically uploaded.
- The Feed Reader monitors your media feeds and automatically uploads content additions and changes into your mps account.
Ingest Service benefits
We developed our Ingest Service so that you can tailor your content upload to your own processes, and this flexibility provides numerous benefits.
- Migrate your content to thePlatform’s video management system easily and efficiently.
- Adapter scripts automatically convert your metadata into a format that is readable by our system. Start with addContent, MRSS, CSV or XML, or build your own using Groovy Script.
- Use your existing feeds to ingest content or set up a Watch Folder and see content ingested automatically from your workflows.
- Tools for uploading massive amounts of content quickly and easily, allowing you to focus on growing your business.
- Detailed error logging gives you tools to ensure that your content is ingested properly every time.
Manage your distributed content with external file links
If you need to use files without moving them (for example, files that must remain under the control of another content management system), you can use external file links to:
- Model live encoders and live streams in your workflows.
- Model files being managed by a partner.
- Reduce storage and bandwidth costs by fetching things only when you need them.
- Migrate from another system without having to move all your existing files.
